Contour Countertops A growing success story
In 2000 Chuck Maiwurm bought Contour Laminate, a Seattle-based laminate company dating back to 1957. The 12-year veteran of Weyerhaeuser left the Federal Way-based timber company to provide bold and aggressive new leadership of an old company.
Contour Countertops now supplies all the laminate and stone countertops for local Quadrant Homes as well as all the laminate tops for all Washington Home Depots and all the granite, natural quartz and laminate tops for the region's Lowes Home Improvement Centers.
In less than six short years Contour Countertops has been transformed from a smallish shop to one of the largest producers of custom countertops in the Northwest.
The progressive company is one of the few small businesses in the Puget Sound to have been recognized in 2003, 2004 and 2005 by the Puget Sound Business Journal as one of the top 100 fastest growing companies in Western Washington. Sales have grown from $3.92 million in 2000 to over $10 million in 2005.
An incredible showroom and factory selection of custom services, supported by professional installation has been and will remain the key to Contour Countertop’s growing success story.
